Anne, second wife of Henry VIII, king of England, was the daughter of Sir Thomas Boleyn (1477-1539), later earl of Wiltshire and Ormonde. After spending the years 1519 to 1521 at the French court, Anne returned to England and was courted by the heir to the earldom of Northumberland and by the king himself. Henry married Anne secretly in January 1533, some months before Thomas Cranmer, archbishop of Canterbury, pronounced Henry's divorce from his first wife, Catherine of Aragón. Anne was crowned in June and in September gave birth to the future queen Elizabeth I.
On 2 May 1536, Anne was imprisoned in the Tower of London on charges of adultery with her brother, three gentlemen of the privy chamber, and a musician of the court and of conspiring with these men against the king's life. The four commoners were tried on May 12, and Anne and her brother on May 15; all were convicted of high treason. Whether Anne was guilty of these crimes has never been determined. It is known that Henry wanted to remarry. Anne's uncle, Thomas Howard, 3d duke of Norfolk, presided over the judges who condemned her to death. No record of the evidence remains. On May 17, the musician was hanged, and the other four beheaded. Two days later, Anne was also beheaded. King Henry was betrothed to Jane Seymour the next day.

[50413] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 26 April 2022": "Bangor - William S. Silsby III, 70, died on April 20, 2022, at St. Joseph Hospital, Bangor. He was born on November 26, 1951, in Bangor, the son of William S. Silsby Jr. and Lillian Hinckley Worcester. Billy graduated from Ellsworth High School, class of 1970. Following graduation, he attended the University of Maine at Orono studying art and theatre. While working at Eastern Maine Medical Center, he became interested in the medical field and was accepted into the University of Vermont's Nuclear Medicine Program transferring his studies there. As a Nuclear Med Tech Billy really shined. His incredible work ethic along with his loving caring nature made him very popular with his co-workers and especially his patients who would always request his care. His dedication made him an extremely valuable member of the team but required him to work many extra hours. While still at the University of Vermont, he and some classmates on a whim decided to go on a road trip one Halloween to Montreal, Canada. That road trip changed his life forever as he met the love of his life, James Chandler. They were together for 36 years until James's death in October 2018. Billy worked in major hospitals in Houston, TX, Syracuse, NY, Hull, Ontario, and Hartford, CT. The latter, Hartford is where he and James lived for 30 years. Billy is survived by his father, William S. Silsby Jr. of Aurora; his two brothers, Jon of Gorham and Rick and wife, Corinne, of Windham; sister, Bonnie Silsby-Inman and husband, David, of Monrovia, IN; 3 nieces, 3 nephews, a great-niece and a great-nephew. He was predeceased by his mother and husband."
