"The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 31 December 2024: "Frank George Davis, 88, passed on Dec. 26, 2024, in his home in South Deer Isle, Maine. He was born Nov. 30, 1936, in the familys new home in Deer Isle, Maine, son of Harry R. Davis Sr. and Gwendolyn C (Greenlaw) Davis. Frank worked hard all of his life, with varied jobs, from working on the Deer Isle town roads, chopping wood on Merchants Island, driving gravel trucks, tending his wood lot over the Reach, and later his South Deer Isle home wood lot and gravel pit. He also managed the Deer Isle town transfer station for many years. But his happiest working days were spent on the bay lobstering near his brother, Pink, scalloping and digging clams over at the 'Shore' He loved having all of his family around him as much as possible. He was a loving husband, father and son."
