He was a farmer, a Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of Doubling Gap Church of God and American Legion Post 421. Surviving are his wife, Betty Jane Gilbert Warner; two daughters, Kathy A. Davis of Newville and Susan J. Stauffer of Lancaster; a sister, Bessie V. Clouse of Newville; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews."
