David was the son of Adam Deshler, one of the first settlers. He grew up in Whitehall Township, in his father's stone house. In 1767 he bought land in Salisbury Township from James Allen, on which he erected a grist mill and a sawmill. This was an early part of the present-day city of Allentown, where David Deshler built the first house. He lived in a large stone house, now called Fort Deshler or Deshler's Blockhouse. Like Fort Ralston's stone blockhouse in E. Allen Twsp, it is no longer standing). He was the Lt. Col. of PA. Militia during the Revolutionary War and a patriot of Egypt, PA.
"Colonel David Deshler was beyond doubt the most substantial resident of Northampton town [now Allentown] in his time, and his influence helped very materially in the successful culmination of the War for Independence."*
(1776) David attended the proceedings of the Provincial Conference in Philadelphia on June 1776 where he was made Deputy of the election for the second division of the county held at Allentown.
(1777) He was made Sub Lt.
(1778) David was made the Commissary of Supplies of Northampton County.
(1780) Congress was unable to pay for anything, David Deshler and his colleague and neighbor, Captain John Arndt, advanced their own money to pay for Northampton County's quota of army supplies.
(1787) David was a member of the 1787 Pennsylvania convention that ratified the United States Constitution.

Baumgarten names the second wife of King András and gives her origin but only cites one secondary source in support. After her husband's death in 1060, she and her sons took refuge at the court of Heinrich IV King of Germany but, leaving her elder son there, she and her younger son went to Austria. The Annals of Lambert record that 'regina Ungariorum, mater Salomonis regis' presented the sword of 'rex Hunnorum Attila' to 'duci Baioriorum Ottoni' after her son was restored as king of Hungary. She became a nun at Admont in 1074 as Agmunda. m ([1039]) as his second wife, ANDRÁS of Hungary, son of Vászoly [Vazúl] Prince of Hungary Duke between March and Gran & --- of the Bulgarians ([1014]-Zirc autumn 1060, bur Tihany, Abbey of St Anian). He and his brothers fled Hungary following the disgrace of their father, settling first in Bohemia, but András was in Kiev from [1037]. After the popular uprising which deposed King Peter in 1046, he was invited to return from exile and succeeded in 1047 as András I 'the Catholic' King of Hungary."

Born on Dec. 31, 1934, in Eagle Lake, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Granville and Gertrude Pelletier Mixer. Mrs. Anderson graduated from Waterville High School in 1953 and retired from AT&T after many years of distinguished service. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Ralph Charles Anderson Jr.; children, Deborah M. Underwood (Douglas), Jayne A. Anderson, Deanna L. DeFord, and Peter Alan Anderson; sister, Sandra Gray; brother, Donald Mixer (Rose); four grandchildren, Donna Maynard (Christopher), David Underwood (Megan), Rosanna Richer Masrud, and Brian DeFord Jr. (Brittany); and nine grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one son, Robert Lee Anderson; and one brother, Richard Mixer. A memorial service will be held at St. Francis Cemetery, Grove Street, Waterville."

At the age of one year Philip fell under the guardianship of his uncle Frederick, who later adopted him. In 1474, he married Margaret of Bavaria-Landshut, the daughter of Louis IX, Duke of Bavaria and by virtue of the marriage received the Upper Palatinate. After the death of his adoptive father in 1476, he became the Elector. In 1499 he inherited the possessions of the branches of Palatinate-Mosbach and Palatinate-Neumarkt. Philip lost the Landshut War of Succession in 1504 to Albert IV, Duke of Bavaria."
