[46240] Find A Grave memorial 29438595 offers: "The son of Henry & Elizabeth (Paden) Flickinger, in 1860 he was a farmer living in Saville Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania. He stood 5' 11" tall and had dark hair and brown eyes. A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in Perry County August 5, 1862, and mustered into federal service at Harrisburg August 11 as a private with Co. G, 133rd Pennsylvania Infantry. He was seriously injured at the battle of Fredericksburg when a horse trampled him. Initially hospitalized at Washington DC, he then transferred to the medical facility at Portsmouth Grove, Rhode Island, from where he discharged the service by surgeon's certificate May 12, 1863. He also enlisted in Harrisburg March 9, 1865, mustered there March 10 as a private with the second organization of Co. F, 104th Pennsylvania Infantry, and honorably discharged with his company July 25, 1865. He married Margaret A. Simonton November 23, 1866, and fathered Elizabeth (b. 09/14/69), John E. (b. @1871), Thomas M. (b. 06/05/72, d. 08/19/73), William Harry (b. 07/30/74), Anna Clara (b. 06/22/76), Elsie F. (b. 04/23/78 - married Jacob Frazer Reisinger), and Charles Owen (b. 03/31/80)." Jacob served in Co. F, 104th Reg. as a Private from 10 March 1865 to 25 August 1865.

Born at Penobscot February 19, 1883, she was the daughter of Roscoe and Alberta (Leach) Wardwell. She was a past matron of S. K. Whiting Chapter, OES, a member of the Congregational Church and the Mary Cushman Circle of Castine. Surviving are six sons, Arthur F., Ernest R. and Robert R. of Bucksport, Donald K. and William R. of Bucksport, Douglas E., stationed on the USS Robinson; four daughters, Mrs. Marie Wood, Mrs. Doris Pratt of Castine, Mrs. Mary Heal of Portland, Mrs. Pauline Sliney of East Pepperell, Mass.; a brother, Raymond Wardwell of Dark Harbor; 29 grandchildren; one great grandchild; two nephews." Ursula's birth record indicates her father is a fisherman, age 29, and her mother, Alberta Leach is age 16.
