Mrs. Linda Ellen Foster, well-known Chico woman and a resident of Butte County for 76 years, died this morning after a lengthy illness. "She was born Oct 2, 1878, at Fort Bragg to Benjamin and Annie Rucker who became early day-settlers in Chico. Her family moved to Artois, Glenn County, when she was a year old and to Chico when she was nine. Her schooling was in Chico and on March 31, 1895, she was married to Robert M. Foster in Paradise who died in 1932, at which time she came to Chico to live with her daughter, the late Ione Ferguson. Her husband was a stock farmer and they had their home about seven miles east of Durham and maintained a summer home at Stirling City for many years. Mrs. Foster was for many years a member of Bidwell Memorial Presbyterian Church, and was a 45-year member of Beulah Rebekah Lodge No. 60 of Chico. She was a past noble grand, past district deputy, and a past president of Veteran Rebeckahs. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Irene Harris and Mrs. Leta Hicks of Chico, and Mrs. Eva Bennett of Oregon; a brother, Allen Rucker of Chico; a grandson Robert Foster of Pentz, and a great granddaughter.1964: Linda E. She lived in Kimshew Judicial Township, Butte, California, United States in 1900 and Chico, Butte, California, United States for about 10 years. She died on 14 January 1968, at the age of 89, and was buried in Chico, Butte, California, United States."

[46952] Phyllis is daughter of Leslie Roosevelt Snouffer (b. 15 Dec 1901, Worthington, Franklin Co, OH, d. 27 Dec 1986, Franklin Co, OH) and Bernice Estelle Thomas ( b. 21 Feb 1905, Bellepoint, Delaware Co, OH, d. 24 Sep 2001, Dublin, Franklin Co, OH, m. 14 April 1926). Phyllis and Morris had Todd F. Hollenbaugh, b. 15 Aug 1951and Leslie Hollenbaugh, b. 6 Aug 1954. Her obituary: "Phyllis Ann Snouffer was born on December 21, 1928 in Worthington, Ohio. She died on October 7, 2017 in Oxford, Ohio. She was the daughter of Leslie Roosevelt and Bernice Thomas Snouffer. Phyllis's family settled in Delaware, Ohio where she attended Ohio Wesleyan University and met Morris Eugene Hollenbaugh, whom she married in 1949. They lived in Delaware until Morry attended Bexley Hall seminary in Gambier, Ohio and was ordained an Episcopal priest in 1962. Phyllis and Morry then resided in Dayton, Greenville, Hamilton, and Fairfield, Ohio as Morry fulfilled his service in the Diocese of Southern Ohio. In 1970, Phyllis returned to Ohio Wesleyan and received a bachelor of education degree. She also earned a master of education degree from Miami University. She taught kindergarten and first grade in the Hamilton Public Schools until she retired in 1989. Phyllis and Morry relocated to Snowmass, Colorado. They moved back to Ohio in 2005 and resided in Oxford, Ohio. She was preceded in death by Morry in 2006. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Todd (Jill) Hollenbaugh of Oxford, OH, her daughter, Leslie (Peter) Hollenbaugh Ross of Philadelphia, PA, four grandchildren, Alexandra E. Ross (Evan Guthrie) of Pottstown, PA, Paul C. Ross (Jenny) of Charlotte, NC, Dustin (Kirsten) Kuykendoll of Lantana, TX, James (Jennifer) Kuykendoll of Cincinnati, OH and five great-grandchildren, Adelaide May Ross Guthrie, Harrison Marie Ross, Boyd Christopher Ross, Madeline Ann Kuykendoll and Grant Thomas Kuykendoll."
