[57128] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 1 May 2022: "Millinocket - Constance B. "Connie" Higgins, 87, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022, after a period of declining health. She was born December 21, 1934, in Millinocket, the daughter of Delmont and Eva (Devoe) Higgins. Connie grew up in Millinocket and was a graduate of Stearns High School. She was a nurse's aide at the Millinocket hospital and at the Katahdin Nursing Home for many years, working hard to provide for her family. After retirement, she enjoyed walking, reading, and doing volunteer work, and she was often remembered with a friendly wave and hearty hello by those whom she had cared for and their families. Connie will be lovingly missed and fondly remembered by all whose life she touched. She is survived by a son, Shane Wheeler of Millinocket; a granddaughter, Karsyn Wheeler; a grandson, Adam Wheeler, all of Millinocket; two brothers, Roger 'Sonny' Higgins and his wife, Gayle, of Medway, and Alan 'Butch' Higgins and wife, Lynn; two sisters, Susan Johnson and her husband, John, of Millinocket, and Sally Knox and her husband, Stan, of Narragansett, Rhode Island; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Connie was predeceased by a sister, Dolores 'Dodo' Allen; and an infant brother, Buddy Higgins."

A manuscript narrating the foundation of Wigmore Abbey records that Roger was born 'apud Nethewoode IX Kal Apr anno regni regis Ricardi secundi xvi' and was buried 'apud prioratum de Stoke'. He was kept imprisoned with his brother at Windsor by King Henry IV, transferred 1402 to Berkhamsted Castle."
