Born in Rockland, December 24, 1920 she was the daughter of Orrin and Fanny Spurling Pinkham. Educated locally, she was a 1938 graduate of Rockland High School. Together they made their home in Rockland for many years where she worked as a stitcher for Van Baalens. In 1963 the couple moved to Bath where she embarked in a 20 year career with Congress Sportswear. Until her retirement Beatrice worked making shirts for Maine Guide Shirts. Always a quiet woman with a sweet disposition, she enjoyed attending ceramics class. Throughout her entire life, nothing was more important than her family. Predeceased by her beloved husband in 2001; and three siblings Ralph Pinkham, Winnifred Sylvester, and Orrin Pinkham, Jr.; Beatrice is survived by her children, Frederick Beal, Sr. and his wife Karen of Rockland, Ronald Beal and his wife Carol of West Bath, Richard Beal and his wife Donna of Buxton, Barbara Colby and her husband William of South Thomaston; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family."
