[61302] The unverified file L4FH-H5P in familysearch.org offfers in part: "He served in the Massachusetts Militia as a surgeon in the Revolutionary War in Colonel Shepard's regiment. He was the first doctor in Farmington, Maine around 1790. He practiced out of Dr Thomas Flint's (a town founder) general store. Dr Theo then was the first doctor in Starks, Maine in 1794. He stayed there at least 7 years, then was in several coastal towns until he finally settled on Vinalhaven Island in the summer of 1804, his wife and six children came over the winter of 1804. He would spend 30 or more years there. He was arthritic by 1818, and applied for a Revolutionary War Pension in 1919, stating he could not ride a horse, so all he could do was bleed people or give enemas, and estimated his annual income at $20. He had nine dependents at the time. By the 1830's he had moved to the mainland due to failing health, and lived in Camden where two sons, Richard and William, farmed. He died in Camden Maine 1836 was buried in Mountainview cemetery there, with a separate marker erected in Mills cemetery on Vinalhaven Island where his wife Martha was later buried following her death in 1848."
