[7775] Nellie's ancestry is from "Riegell to Riggle - Mattheis Riegell of Bad Münster; His German Ancestry and American Descendants, 1390-1995," Carl Robert Riegel and James Earl Reigle (Camden: Penobscot, Press, 1996).
[55420] Find A Grave memorial 38474742 offers Pauline's obituary: "Mrs. Pauline L. Gray, 30, wife of Arthur H. Gray, and a well-known nurse, died Tuesday, February 2, 1954, in a local hospital after a long illness (cervical cancer). She was the former Pauline Scott of Unity. She was born in Unity July 27, 1923, the daughter of Elijah Lee Scott of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky and Ione (Cook) Scott Mussey. She graduated from Unity High School, and trained at the Eastern Maine General Hospital. She nursed at the Stinson and St. Joseph's hospital, belonged to the Bangor Grange and Penobscot Pomona, and attended the Essex Street Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Kathryn E. and Judith Ann; a son Eugene C.; her mother, Mrs. Claude Mussey, her grandmother, Faustina Cook, all of Bangor; and a half-sister, Mrs. Paul (Dorothy) Winters of Belfast." Pauline is daughter of Elijah Lee Scott (1897-1978) & Augusta Jane "lone" Cook (1898-1961).
[39871] An unverified Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2015 offers: "Henry, Bishop of St Andrews, Wardlaw was born in 1356 in Fife, the child of Andrew and Christian. He married Christian Lauder in 1434. They had one child during their marriage. He died on April 6, 1440, having lived a long life of 84 years." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Wardlaw offers: "Henry Wardlaw (died 6 April 1440) was a Scottish church leader, Bishop of St Andrews and founder of the University of St Andrews. He was a son of II Laird of Wilton Henry Wardlaw who was b. 1318, and a nephew of Walter Wardlaw (d. 1390), Bishop of Glasgow, who is said to have been made a cardinal by the antipope Clement VII in 1381. Educated at the universities of Oxford and of Paris, Henry Wardlaw returned to Scotland in about 1385, and his influential connections obtained him several church benefices. He passed some time at Avignon, and it was while at the papal court that he was chosen Bishop of St Andrews; he was consecrated in 1403. Returning to Scotland, he acted as tutor to the future King James I of Scotland, and finished the work of restoring the cathedral at St Andrews. Having helped to bring about the release of James from his captivity in England, he crowned the king in May 1424, and afterwards acted as one of his principal advisers. He appears to have been an excellent bishop, although he tried to suppress the teaching of John Wyclif by burning its advocates. Wardlaw's chief claim to fame is the fact that he was the founder of the University of St Andrews, the first university in Scotland. He issued the charter of foundation in February 1411, and the privileges of the new seat of learning were confirmed by a bull of the Avignon Pope Benedict XIII, dated 28 August 1413. The university was to be 'an impregnable rampart of doctors and masters to resist heresy.'" Ancestry.com offers: "Wardlaw Name Meaning - Scottish: habitational name from any of several minor places called Wardlaw, from Old English weard watch + hlaw hill."
