Tonya was the eldest sibling of five children born to Calvin and Faye (Bowels) Wardwell of Perham. Tonya was a loving daughter and sweet older sister, teaching her siblings to read, write, recite poetry, and ride a bicycle. She had a beautiful soprano voice and was often called on to sing by friends and family. She is survived by her mother, Faye Wardwell of Perham, her two sisters and brothers in law, Linda and Robert James of Pioneer, California, Ruth and David Brown of Palm Bay, Florida, her two brothers and sisters in law, Samuel and Paula Wardwell of Edgewood, New Mexico, and Scott and Angela Wardwell of Presque Isle.
