Find A Grave memorial 149646414 offers his obituary: "Hampden - Irving L. Bowden, 91, died July 21, 2015, at the Maine Veterans Home in Bangor. He was born June 26, 1924, in Frankfort, Maine, the oldest son of Grace and Irving Bowden. He grew up and was educated in Bangor before enlisting in the Navy to serve in the Atlantic.
After being honorably discharged from the Navy he started his career in civil service as a carpenter at Dow Air Force Base in Bangor, where he worked until the bases closure. Irving built his own home in Hampden, where he lived while raising his family with his beloved wife, Esther. He was a lifelong member of Hammond Street Congregational Church, as well as a proud WWII veteran. Irving was married to his wife Esther for 68 years until her passing in 2014. He is survived by a sister, Nina Hansen of Bangor; his daughter, Peg Pupkis and her husband, Bill, of Frankfort; his son, Gary Bowden and his wife, Barbara, of Hampden; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews."
[14397] http://www.memorychest.com/whitcombline/htmg10.htm states that Elizabeth is daughter of Isaac Buck and Frances Marsh.

Comte de Rethel from [1124], de iure uxoris. - m Mathilde de Rethel, daughter of Hugues I Comte de Rethel & his wife Melisende de Monthlery. The Chronicle of Alberic de Trois-Fontaines names 'Mathildis' as sister of 'frater - Balduini de Burgo Gervasius' and her marriage to 'Odoni castellano Vitriaci'. William of Tyre records 'Mabalda' as first sister of Baudouin II King of Jerusalem, refers to her husband as 'castellanus de Vitriaco', and specifies that their son 'Iterius' succeeded to Rethel after the death of her brother Gervaise. The 'Genealogiæ Scriptoris Fusniacensis' refers to 'castellanam de Victereio' as daughter of 'Hugonem comitem de Retest'."

[10624] "Standing Before The Mast," by Mark E. Honey (published in the Castine Patriot, Castine, ME, 17 July 2003, p. 8) William "Wescott settled at what is now North Castine. His descendents would later build at least two homes on his old homestead, which are still standing today. Capt. Wescott probably built his first home near the Bagaduce River, complete with his own wharf. His farm was also the site of an artillery battery during the Revolution, and in a strange twist of fate, he may have occupied the same property once owned and occupied by Baron de St. Castin. Westcott was living at 'Majabagaduce' as early as 1762, though the earliest date in his ledger is February 20, 1763. Wescott was perhaps the first trader on the Bagaduce, providing we do not include Castin and others from the 17th and early 18th centuries. As such, we have at least three different places of trade for the early settlers, first at Fort Pownal on Cape Jellison, begun in 1759, second at Wescott's on the Bagaduce, and third at Watson's at Naskeag. ...Wescott appears to have had a sloop named the 'Frankeforte.' The vessel carried goods of local flour, cloth, molasses, meal, tobacco, iron work of all kinds, crockery and ducke (canvas). The West Indies also provided a market for dried fish, shingles and timber, and in return, provided molasses, sugar and rum." His ledger is in the Wilson Museum, Castine. His home was opposite Trott's Point, now Hatch's point. For a detailed history of the area, see "Penobscot,Maine 1761-2011," Mark E.
