She died Jan. 20, 1748/49 in Harwich. Samuel Sears was born Jan. 16, 1663/64 in Yarmouth, MA. He died Jan. 8, 1741/42 in Harwich at age 77 years. He was a.k.a. Capt. Samuel Sears. Known children of Mercy Mayo3 and Samuel Sears, all born in Harwich, MA., were: a. Hannah: b. July 1, 1685; m. John Vincent. b. Samuel: b. Sept. 15, 1687. c. Nathaniel: b. Sept. 23, 1689; m. Susanna Gray Oct. 10, 1712; he d. July 19, 1720 in Harwich, at age 30 years. Susanna Gray was b. in 1691, d/o John Gray and Susanna Clark. d. Tamsen: b. Nov. 13, 1691; m. This couple's daughter, Desire Vincent, born 18 June 1771 at Yarmouth, Barnstable, MA, married David Wing, b. 20 March 1761/2 at Harwich, Barnstable, MA. David Wing died 19 Nov. 1839 in Cortland County, NY, and is buried at Cortlandville. Desire died 4 Nov. 1842, age 71, and is buried at Cortlandville with David.
David Wing was a descendant of Elder William Brewster of the Mayflower through Brewster's daughter Patience. Patience married Thomas Prence, a governor of Plymouth. Their daughter married into the Freeman family, and a couple of generations down Rebecca Freeman, widow of Joseph Vickery, married John Wing, an ancestor of David."
