http://www.genealogy.com/ftm/s/m/i/Gordon-L-Smith in 2015 states Sarah m. 6 Jan 1826 John Holland, son of William Holland and Charlotte Dustin, and lists their children. This information is not verified.
Find A Grave memorial 190836984 offers: "Sarah was the daughter of James Mahar and Sarah Dunbar and the granddaughter of Edmund Mahar who came to Pembroke in its early history (so-called Mahar's Point) and who piloted the Hingham group in 1786 to Dennysville for settlement. Sarah's mother (Dunbar) was one of the Hingham group.
Sarah married John Holland, son of William and Charlotte of Ox Cove in 1826. They had ten children from 1827 through 1846, Sarah Jane, Elmirah, Josiah who died young, Susan, Caroline, Charles, Abiah, Levi, John L. who died as a baby, and Albert.
Her husband died in February 1850 and Sarah is found in Pembroke in the census that year age 45 with children Elmirah age 20, Josiah 18, Susan 14, Caroline 11, Charles 9, Levi 7, and Albert 4.
In the 1860 census Sarah is age 55, a "farmer woman". She has with her children Charles age 18, Albert age 14 and her married daughters, Abiah "Abbi" M. Knowlton age 16 and her husband Edward age 22, and Caroline Knowlton age 21 and her husband Thomas age 28 and their daughter Susan age 4.
Sarah died in 1867 and was buried in the Mahar Cemetery with her husband. This cemetery is now called Reversing Falls as it is located within the Reversing Falls Park in Pembroke. Sarah had a stone at one time which over the years has either disintegrated or been removed. Her sons Josiah and John were also buried in Mahar Cemetery, stones long gone. Her daughters Sarah (married name Smith) and Elmirah (Curtis) are buried in the Village Cemetery in Dennysville, and daughter Susan (Small) is buried in Clarkside in Pembroke. Her daughter Caroline married a brother of Elmira's husband (Curtis) and moved to Minneapolis Minnesota. Caroline was widowed in 1891 and died in Minneapolis and was buried there in 1932 at age 95. Son Charles died in Pembroke in 1913."
