[21813] This family is from the LDS Church's unverified Ancestral File (18HS-HMX) which states that John is of Rotherfield, Oxfordshire. See Burke's "Dormant and Excinct Peerages," p. 247, and G.E. Cokayne; with Vicary Gibbs, H.A. Doubleday, Geoffrey H. White, Duncan Warrand and Lord Howard de Walden, editors, "The Complete Peerage of England, Scotland, Ireland, Great Britain and the United Kingdom, Extant, Extinct or Dormant, new ed.," (1910-1959; reprint in 6 volumes, Gloucester, U.K.: Alan Sutton Publishing, 2000), volume II, page 235 and volume VI, page 147.
[8995] "News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 27 September 1966," p. 3: "Mrs. Ilene Mae Bistline, 40, wife of Jack R. Bistline of Shelby, RD 2, died yesterday afternoon in the second-grade classroom in Whitney Elementary School in Shelby, where she had been teaching for the past six years. Her husband is a service officer for the Richland County Veterans' Service Center in Mansfield and is a former sheriff's deputy. Mrs. Bistline was a sister-in-law of Richland County Sheriff Thomas E. Weikel. Her family physician said Mrs. Bistline died of natural causes, apparently of a heart attack. Her pupils said she fell off her chair. They called the school nurse. Mrs. Bistline was born in Mansfield. She had lived in the Shelby area for the past six years. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Shelby. She also was a member of local, state and national teachers' organizations. Survivors, besides her husband, include three sons, Bruce, Jeffrey and Randall Bistline, all at home; one brother, Robert Dysart, of Mansfield, and one sister, Mrs. Betty Weikel, also of Mansfield. Services will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday from the Shelby church. The Rev. G. Robert Geyer will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby." Ilene is daughter of Harold O. Dysart and Anne Kirknak. Jack m. (2) April 6, 1974 at Shelby, OH Wilma Louise Bruce. Ancestry.com offers: "Dysart Name Meaning - Scottish: habitational name from any of various places, for example those in Fife and Angus, named from Gaelic dìseart hermits cell, church (from Latin desertum desert, waste, solitary spot)."
