He was present master, past master and 48-year member of Rainbow Grange No. 203, Brooksville; past noble grand, district deputy grand master and 30-year member of Governor Brooks lodge No. 142, I.O.O.F., of Brooksville; member of Grand Encampment of Maine; member of Cecilia Rebekah Lodge No. 118 of Brooksville and member of Pomona State and National Grange. He is survived by his wife Abbie (Gray) Lymburner of Brooksville; three sons, Sumner A. of Tucson, Ariz., Sheridan E, of Orland and Delmont A, of Franklyn; one daughter, Sherris L. Lymburner of Brooksville; one sister, Mrs. Earl (Jean) Bridges of East Orland; five grandchildren, two nieces, one nephew and several cousins. A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Campstream Cemetery, Sedgwick."

"The Akron Beacon Journal [Akron, Ohio], 8 June 1935," p. 20: "Spriggle, Franklin, age 78, formerly of Green township, died Friday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Samuel Ritzman, 2 miles N. E. of Uniontown. Survived by 2 sons, Newton of Akron, Earl of Uniontown, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 2 p. m. at the home of his daughter. Burial in Greenlawn cemetery, Uniontown." The unverified Russell Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2016 offers: "Franklin Spriggle was born on May 18, 1856, in Ohio, the child of Jacob and Christiana Elizabeth. He married Sevilla Alice Grable on March 1, 1881. They had two [known] children during their marriage. He died on June 11, 1935, in Uniontown, Ohio, at the age of 79."
