She is survived by her children, Suzanne Rutledge, of Mifflintown, Christopher Shirk and his wife Carol, of Licking Creek; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Shirk, of Lancaster; a brother, Edward Wisehaupt and his wife Betty, of Harrisburg and she leaves behind nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were, a son, Raymond 'Rick' Shirk and a granddaughter, Heather Shirk. Betty was a 1945 graduate of Lemoyne High School and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, New Bloomfield. Until her retirement, she was employed as a seamstress for the Nettie Frocks Sewing Factory, Mifflintown. Her hobbies included genealogy and reading as well as, word-search and jigsaw puzzles."
