[58632] Robert's obituary: "Robert 'Bob' L. Dodge Sr., 81, died Sept. 27, 2014, in Parkman. He was born Aug. 24, 1933, in Milbridge, to Robert and Helen Dodge. He married Dorris in 1953 and moved to New Jersey, where Bob worked as, among other jobs, chauffeur and police officer. The Dodges returned to Maine and ran Lums Restaurant in Trenton; in 1970, they moved to Northeast Harbor, where Bob was harbormaster for many years before accepting the position of harbormaster in Portland in 1980. In 1982, they moved to Bangor and he worked for the state until retired. He is survived by his children, Kay Tolstrup and husband, David, of Panama City, Fla.; Robert L. Dodge Jr. and wife, Anne, of Seal Harbor; Michelle Hawthorne of Jupiter, FL; April Baker and husband, Alan, of Bucksport; Sally Dodge Ballenger and husband, Louis, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Burbank; and his grandson, Barry Smallidge. Bob was a social, active man who loved the sea."

[17412] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 25 March 1915, p. 9: "Ellsworth, March 24 - Funeral services over the remains of the late Freeman G. Leach, prominent citizen and business man, were held at the Leach residence in Church street this Wednesday afternoon at 2 oclock. The services were conducted by Rev. P. A. A. Klllam of the First Baptist church. Tbe death of Mr. Leach occurred Sunday evening, following a lingering Illness of several months. For five years prior to his death he conducted successfully a grocery store in the Phillips' building, so-called, in Main Street near the Maine Central depot. Mr. Leach was 57 years of age and was born the town of Penobscot. His earler days were spent in his native town. He developed a liking for the sea and took up fishing on the Grand Banks. He waa a successful fisherman and passed through the differen stages of advancement until he became captain of one of the Grand Bankers. A little more than 20 years ago he came to Ellsworth to enter the employ of the B. E. Cole shoe company. Later he was with the Union Shoe Company, and when this Industry closed he became a traveling salesman, giving up this line of work to open a grocery store in this city. He was widely known in this city and by the commercial travelers. He is survived by a wife and a daughter, Mrs. Ralph E. Cunningham of this city."
