"The Pantagraph [Bloomington, Illinois], 3 August 1916," p. 2: "Pontiac, Aug. 2. - (Special) - This morning at 11 o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Green, 220 West Bennett street was celebrated the marriage of their daughter, Mabel May, to Edgar E. Schrock, Rev. M. L. O'Hara officiating in the presence of about thirty-five relathes and friends. Immediately after the ceremony a sumptuous luncheon was served. The house decorations were pink and white. The bride Is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Green and has made this city her home for many yexrs. She is a graduate ot the township high school and has taught school for the past two years. Mr. Schrock is a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Schrock, of this city, and has been and is engagod in the automobile business for some years past. They will make an extended tour of the east in their automobile, after which they will reside at 402 West Bennett street, where a handsome new bungalow is being erected for them."
"The Pantagraph [Bloomington, Illinois], 16 December 1957," p. 2: "Mrs. Mabel May Schrock, 64, of 404 Bennett St., died at 10:50 p, m. Saturday at St. James Hospital. She had been ill six months and hospitalized for a week. Her funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p. m. at the Raleigh J. Harris Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dale Pitcher officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. She was born Nov. 28, 1893, in Rooks Creek Township, a daughter of John T. and Juniata Wagenseller Green. She attended country schools and Pontiac Township High School. She came to Pontiac at the age of 14 and has lived there since. She taught rural schools for several years. She was married to Edgar E. Schrock Aug. 2, 1916, at Pontiac. Surviving are her husband, her mother, Pontiac; three sons, Harold E., Paxton; Charles J., Decatur; Donald C, Bloomington; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Piper, Pontiac; and six grandchildren, She was preceded in death by her father and a sister. She was a member of the Methodist Church."
