[47142] "The Times [Streator, Illinois], 20 April 1964," p. 13: "Edgar E. Schrock, a former Flanagan resident, died at Livingston County Nursing Home at 2 p. m. Sunday after being in failing health for several years. Visitation will begin today at 5p.m. in the Harris funeral home, Pontiac, where Masonic rites will be accorded at 7 :30 p. m. today. Services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday from the funeral home with Rev. Gene Simon officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Mr. Schrock was born March 7, 1885 at Flanagan, son of Emanuel M. and Sarah Jane Campbell Schrock. He attended Pontiac schools and later operated a garage in Pontiac. He was employed at the Illinois State Prison as vocational electrical instructor. He married Mabel Green Aug. 2, 1916 at Pontiac, she preceded him in death in 1957. Surviivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Piper, Pontiac; three sons, Harold of Paxton; Charles of Decatur, a brother, George Schrock, Chicago and 12 grandchildren."
