He was born Dec. 29, 1912, in Sheridan, the son of Conrad and Grace (Daggett) Bradstreet. His early years were spent in the Wrightville, Caribou and Presque Isle areas. He began farming in Bridgewater at the age of 17, raising different varieties of potatoes. He was a past member of the Maine Potato Growers board of directors. Raising potatoes was his lifelong passion and he was one of the first to begin spacing potatoes closer together. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Henrietta (Rideout) Bradstreet of Bridgewater; two children, Wayne and his wife, Mavis and Diana Bradstreet of Bridgewater; six grandchildren, Ryan and his wife, Wendy, of Bridgewater and their son, Ethan, Julie Sanborn and her husband, Cory, of Waterville, Alan and his wife, Melissa, of Michigan, Shawn Bradstreet of New Jersey, Shane Bradstreet of Florida and Lance Bradstreet of New York; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four brothers, Alston, Paul, Phil and Ferdinand; one sister, Verna Berry; and one very special great-granddaughter, Megan Bradstreet."
