Elida's obituary: "Sandy Point - Elida Gray, 88, died peacefully June 15, 2018, at a Brewer Healthcare Facility. She was born November 27, 1929, in Sandy Point, the daughter of Arthur and Gladys (Heath) Smith. Elida attended school in Sandy Point and Stockton Springs. She met and married the love of her life, C. Wayne Gray and together they raised their three children in Sandy Point. Elida was a member of the Sandy Point Congregational Church and the Masonic Order of Eastern Star. Family was very important to Elida and brought her so much joy. She enjoyed taking bus trips with her sisters to see exciting new parts of the country while she also enjoyed local adventures, riding with the top down, in her daughterÂ’s VW Convertible. Elida loved simple pleasures in life from a cup of coffee at the Sail Inn Restaurant, to a hot fudge sundae at WahlÂ’s Dairy Port on a warm summer evening. She loved animals, her doll collection, having her nails done and spending time with her loved ones.
Elida is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Libby and her husband, Doug of Ellsworth, Charlene Webb and her husband, Harold of Bucksport; one son, Kenneth Gray and his wife, Kathy of Bucksport; three sisters, Mildred Rainey of Searsport, Elizabeth McKeen of Sandy Point, Charlotte Adams of Bangor; one brother, George Smith of Sandy Point; four grandchildren, Lori (Libby)Wilson and her husband, Chris of Ellsworth; Joseph, Joshua and Kasey Gray; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband C. Wayne Gray; father, Arthur Smith; mother, Gladys (Heath) Smith; brother, Herbert Smith; and granddaughter, Rachel Libby."
[5839] Mary's marriage record is in the Parish Registers, Litchfield Diocese, England. Her information is from the unverified Farrington Family Tree in 2020 in Ancestry.com which states she is daughter of Richard Tell.
