Find A Grave memorial 91423327 offers: "'Solomon and Christina (Peterson) Bargdoll were both natives of Virginia, where they were married. By calling, Solomon was a blacksmith and gunsmith and upon leaving the Old Dominion, he became located in Greene Co., O., near Xenia, in 1816. He lived there until moving to South Bend, Ind., in 1829. In 1841, Mr. Bargdoll came to Livingston county, continuing to follow his adopted occupation up to the time of his death, October 8, 1874, at the age of 81 years. Of the seven children in his family, four now survive: Amos; Eliza, wife of Joseph G. Reeves; Lewis, in business on the same lot on which his father settled when he first came here; and Julia Ann, widow of John Simpson.' - History of Caldwell and Livingston Counties, Missouri."

[2605] Before 1045 he was appointed Earl of East Anglia; banished with brother to Ireland in 1051, but returned when father's banishment to Flanders ended in 1052; succeeded father in greater earldom of the West Saxons, 1053, hence becoming the chief man in the kingdom; succeeded Edward as king in January of 1066, but soon had to defend kingdom against Viking Harold Hardrada in the northeast and Duke William of Normandy in the south (whose army slayed Harold II on the hill of Senlac near Battle where Harold's two brothers also lay dead). {Ref.
