She was born in Calais Aug. 5, 1931, the daughter of Edgar and Lenora (Carlow) Perkins. She was a member of the Alexander Grange and served as treasurer and tax collector in the town of Alexander for the past 22 years. She also served on the Alexander Volunteer Fire Department until the time of her death. She is survived by her husband, Rolla Archer of Alexander; three sons, James of Alexander, Raymond of Hampden and Phillip of Lubec; two daughters, Elizabeth Gardner of Lubec, and Rosiland Miller of Connecticut; two brothers, Erlin Perkins of New Jersey and Merlin Perkins of Meddybemps; one half brother, Charles Perkins of New Hampshire; three sisters, Geneva Perkins and Dorothy Philbrick, both of New Hampshire, and Alberta James of Crawford; two half sisters, Freda Adams of New Hampshire and Clara Robbins of Wilton; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren."

"Niles Daily Star, 5 April 1926, p. 4: "Mrs. Rose Dustman, 70, wife of William Dustman, 403 N. Fourth street, died of heart disease Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Mrs. Dustman had been in ill health and partially an invalid for about a year. With her husband she came to Niles one year ago from Three Oaks, but previous to living in Three Oaks they had been located in Freeport, Ill., for 33 years. Mr. Dustman is a carpenter by trade. Besides her husband, Mrs. Dustman is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C.F. Snyder, River Bluff, Niles, and Mrs. Frank Chamberlain. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Troost and Augustine undertaking rooms. Charles Kitterer, of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, will read the service.
