[21702] Arthur's parents are from the unverified OneWorldTree in 2011. "The Record-Argus [Greenville, Pennsylvania], 17 October 1972," p. 2: "Rev. Arthur C. Harris, formerly of 318 Clinton St., died on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 1972, at St. John's Lutheran Home, Mars. Death was due to natural causes. Pastor Harris lived with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Donald L. Mowry, former Greenville residents. During this period he served briefly as supply pastor to the Lutheran church at Springboro. In addition to Mrs. Mowry, of Naperville, 111., he is survived by two sons, Arthur Harris Jr. of Fredericksburg, Va. and Ralph Harris of Burgettstown; 10 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Burial was Oct. 12 at Selinsgrove." Pastor Harris served for 30 years at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Gordon, Schuylkill Co., PA. He was a 1st Lt. Chaplain during World War I, enlisting 2 March 1918 and discharged 24 May 1920.

He was Director of Music and Choir Director at the church. He was a retired school teacher who taught in West Fairview, Newville and Steelton schools for over 42 years. He was a member of the National Retired Teacher's Association, the Pennsylvania State Educator's Association and AARP. He was a member of the Hershey Symphony Orchestra and a past member of the Harrisburg Symphony. He managed the Penny Arcade in Hershey Park for 37 years. He is survived by three daughters, Jean Faul, Steelton Sandra Rogozinski, Seattle, Wash., and Karen Hoerner, Steelton; one son, John M. Hoerner, RD2 Gardners; one sister, Pearl Wollerton, Newtown Square; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Centenary United Methodist Church, 1010 Orchard Drive, Steelton, with the Rev. Charles A. Russ officiating. Burial will be in the Restland Cemetery, Loysville."
