[1540] Eudes (or Odo) I forced Hugh Capet to give him the county of Dreux for helping against Charles of Lorraine. Eudes and his line were direct competitors of the first Capetian kings. Eudes and Bertha also had Count Thibault II of Blois who became a priest (d. 11 July 1004). http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/CENTRAL FRANCE.htm reports "He succeeded his father as Eudes I Comte de Blois, de Chartres, de Châteaudun, de Tours, de Beauvais et de Dreux."

[58242] Find A Grave memorial 137311709 offers Robert's obituary: "Tremont - Robert A. Hodgdon Sr., who was born April 2, 1942, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2009, after a courageous, seven-year battle with a debilitating illness. Robert, or 'Bob' as he was known to friends and family, lived most of his life in the town of Tremont. His island ancestry extends from a long line of Hodgdons extending back to 1795 when Pvt. Joseph Hodgdon received payment for his services in the Revolutionary War in the form of a piece of 'marginal' land on Mount Desert Island. Mr. Hodgdon was a true jack-of-all-trades. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and at various times in his life worked as a carpenter, electrician, school custodian, cottage caretaker, shellfish harvester, school bus driver and commercial fisherman. Bobs colorful red, white and blue buoys dotted the shores of Blue Hill Bay for more than 30 years. Mr. Hodgdon is survived by his children, Jason and his wife, Angelique, of Tremont, Theresa of Bar Harbor, and Robert and his wife, Stacey, of Savannah, Ga.; by his grandchildren, Sean, Abigail, Jack, Cal and 2-week-old Grace; and by his siblings, Dale Savage, Benjamin, John III, David, Thomas, Wayne, Mark, Peter-Ann and Michael Hodgdon. Mr. Hodgdon was predeceased by his mother, Lillian M. Andrews of Manchester, Conn.; and father, John F. Hodgdon Jr. of Seal Cove. Mr. Hodgdons memorial will be held 1 p.m. April 14 at the Algerine Coast, Seal Cove."
