[8603] Abraham is son of Samuel Reppert (b. ca. 1783-86 in PA) and Mary Ann Stoner [Steiner]. Samuel and Mary Ann had David, Abraham, two unknown sons and John George [youngest known son, who left the family home in Franklin Twp., Richland Co., OH and moved "west".] Samuel is said to have had fourteen children. The only Samuel Reppert born in this time-frame in the LDS Church's IGI file was born in 1788 and "of Berks Co., PA." The 1850 census of Mill Creek Twp., Williams Co., OH shows Abraham with his wife Elizabeth and sons Samuel, John and Daniel; in the household is Samuel Reppert, apparently Abraham's father [age indistinct] who has real property values at $220 - Abraham's farm is valued at $900. The 1870 census at Scott, Steuben Twp., IN shows Abraham and wife with Samuel who is age 80 and was b. in PA. The 1880 census at Scott shows Abraham's son, Daniel, still in Abraham's household but with his wife Laura (age 27); son Abraham is also in this household, a carpenter who is marked "widowed." Ancestry.com offers: "Reppert Name Meaning - German: from a Germanic personal name, Ratbert, composed of the elements rad, rat 'counsel', 'advice' + berht 'bright'."
[30985] John married (1) Nancy Ross (b. ca 1773, d. 13 June 1802 Lexington, KY) - and had one son, Weldon Truitt (1800-1865); and one daughter, Elizabeth Truitt (1797-1897).

Margaret died during childbirth. Children: Mary, Elizabeth, John, William Spencer, 2nd Baron Spencer of Wormleighton, Richard, Edward, Margaret. Margaret's pedigree is interesting. Her father was Sir Francis Willoughby, the son of Henry Willoughby and Anne, the daughter of the second Marquess of Dorset. Dorset was a landowner in the vicinity of Althorp, who had conveyed the manor or Newbottle (now Nobottle) to the first John Spencer in 1511. Dorset's son, the third Marquess, was Lady Jane Grey's father and Margaret's uncle. Lady Jane was the cousin of Margaret Spencer once removed. The only known portrait painted of Lady Jane Grey is at Althorp. During 1586 and 1587 Margaret was being courted by her childhood friend Griffin Markham (a soldier and conspirator). This was during the same time that Thomas Markham (father of Griffin) was trying to arrange a marriage between his daughter Margaret Markham and Robert Spencer. Margaret was buried Oct. 19, 1597 in Brington, Northamptonshire, England."
