[51970] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 24 October 2022": "Bangor - Dr. Linwood L. Colson, III, 75, died unexpectedly October 19, 2022 in Bangor. He was born Nov. 12, 1946, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son Linwood L. Colson, Jr. and M. Harriet (Perro) Colson. Linwood grew up in Guilford and was a 1965 graduate of Guilford High School and a 1969 graduate of the University of Maine, Orono. He moved to Ashland and taught school prior to attending the New England School of Optometry in Boston, where he graduated in 1975 and began practicing in Portland. Linwood subsequently moved to Bangor, practicing optometry and eventually opening his own practice near the Bangor Mall practicing for 46 years. Linwood was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Parish attending St. John's Catholic Church, Bangor. Linwood and his sister, Pamela, shared common interests and loved painting, sketching and gardening and had the good fortune of displaying their art in local shows and exhibits. Surviving are his longtime companion, partner and friend, Nicholas J. Wood of Bangor; and his sister, Pamela Colson Power of Veazie. He was predeceased by his parents; by his partner and friend, David Shoemaker; and a brother-in-law, James B. Power. Linwood was grateful for and will be remembered by his longtime dedicated employees, Melinda and Lorraine Gray and by his friend and neighbor, Bonnie McCracken."

She died in February 1683 in Lynn, Massachusetts, having lived a long life of 89 years."

Mrs. Wharton was born July 8, 1902, in Mansfield and lived here all her life. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church, where she was a deaconess, a life member of the Womens Missionary Society and taught Sunday school for many years. Surviving besides her husband are four sons, Lawrence E., Carl E., and Gerald R. of Mansfield, and Donald E. of Medina; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Evangeline) Yarman, Mrs. Gerald (Eleanor) Finley, and Mrs. Richard (Lillian) Conard of Mansfield, 23 grandchildren; one great - grandchild; two brothers, William E. Heichel of Mansfield, and Elmer Heichel of Canton.

Gloria is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Robert L. Gray of Ellsworth; two sons, Kenneth L. Gray of Southwest Harbor and Michael S. Gray of Bangor; one daughter, Judith A. Albano of Seabrook, N.H.; five grandchildren, Robert G., Kenneth G., Jaime, Stephanie and Tom; and two special cousins, Mary Bennoch and Jessica Oulette."
