[2758] William d'Aubigny (Albiniacum), Siegneur, married before 1048 a sister of Grimaldi de Plessis {per "Royal Ancestors of Magna Charta Barons," Carr P. Collins, Jr., Dallas, 1959, p. 28}; Grimaldi was the "traitor of Valognes and Val-ès-Dunes," who died in his dungeon in 1047. See "Medieval English Ancestors of Certain Americans," Carl Boyer, 3rd (Santa Clarita, CA: Carl Boyer 3rd, 2001), p. 6. See also "The Origins of Some Anglo-Norman Families," Lewis C Loyd, 1999, p. 7, and "Burke's Peerage & Baronetage, 106th Edition," Charles Mosley, Editor-in-Chief, 1999, p. 2026. The early history of the family is provided by "The Complete Peerage," surname Mowbray, new ed., vol. ix, pp. 366-7. http://genealogy.patp.us/conq/albini.aspx offers: ". . . William de Albini, the earliest known of that name, which he derived from the commune of Aubigny, near Periers, in the Cotentin, and with whom the family pedigree commences. This William married a sister of Grimoult du Plessis, the traitor of Valognes and Val-ès-Dunes, who died in his dungeon in 1047 (vol. i., pp. 25 and 31), and Wace may after all be right in styling him 'Le Botellier,' as it is probable that he held that office in the household of the Duke of Normandy. By his wife, the sister of Grimoult (I have not yet lighted on her name), he had a son, the Roger d'Aubigny aforesaid, who married Amicia, or Avitia, sister of Geoffrey, Bishop of Coutances, and of Roger de Montbrai, and is supposed by M. Le Prévost to have been with his brothers-in-law in the battle." Also see http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Famille_d'Aubigny.

[8250] Benjamin is son of Benjamin Lloyd Griffith (1838-1931) and Jane Porter (1842- 1909). Ancestry.com offers: "Griffith Name Meaning - Welsh: from the Old Welsh personal name Gruffudd, Old Welsh Grip(p)iud, composed of the elements grip, of uncertain significance, + iud 'chief', 'lord'."
[25740] The LDS Church's unverified Ancestral File (PXX7-XB) reports that Reginald m. Alice Brokengreen (b. ca. 1264) and proposes that Reginald is son of Reynold FitzPiers (b. ca. 1230) and Joan Vivonia who is in this database - cf. Ancestral File G8B7-62 - but the dates of birth for each makes this very unlikely.

[40082] http://www.anamericanfamilyhistory.com/Fulle_Family/FullerSamuel1612.html offers in 2015: "Samuel Fuller was born in 1612 in England. His father was Edward Fuller. Samuel came to America on the Mayflower with his parents. His parents both died in 1621 in the first winter in America. . . . . After they died, he was raised by his uncle, Dr. Samuel Fuller. He received three shares in the division of land in 1624 which were probably his share and those of his parents. The land assigned to him was on the south side of the town brook and included what is now Watsons Hill. He became a freeman of the colony in 1634. He married Jane Lothrop in 1635 in Scituate. Their children and life together are described in detail in the section on Samuel and Jane Fuller. He was constable of Scituate in 1641, and sometimes a juror. He was sometimes appointed to settle difficulties with the Indians. He died on October 31, 1683 in Barnstable. He was buried either on his own estate or in the burial place at Lathrop's Hill in Barnstable, near the site of the first meeting house. No gravestone now exists."
