Miller, 91, of 53924 County Road 7 N., who died Sunday morning in Fountainview Place Nursing Home, will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home. Rev. Steven Hudder, pastor of the First Congregational Church, of which she was member, will officiate. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home where the Pythian Sisters, of which she was a member, will conduct memorial services at 8:30 p.m. today. She was born Nov. 3, 1890, in Elkhart and had been a lifetime area resident. On May 8, 1909 in Elkhart, she married Grover C. Miller, who died on Nov. 18, 1956. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Forrest (Audrey) Merrick Jr. of Elkhart, Mrs. Ralph (Phyllis) Smith of, Bradenton, Fla. and Mrs. John (Hattie) Kurtz of Indianapolis, Ind.; a son, Richard of Elkhart; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Harry Boyer of Elkhart."

They had sons, the first being William b.1426 who became 7th Lord Berkeley and whom Edward IV made a viscount in 1481 and Richard III advanced to the Earldom of Nottingham, and Henry VII promoted to be the Earl Marshal and Marquess of Berkeley. William de Berkeley died 14 Feb 1490/91 and was succeeded as 8th. Lord Berkeley by his brother Maurice b.abt.1435 and died Sep 1506, who married in 1465 Isabel Mead, daughter of Philip Mead, Mayor of Bristol. Their children were Anne m. Sir William Dennis; Maurice b. 1469 and 9th Lord Berkeley until his death 12 Sep 1523; and Thomas b. 1472 and 10th. Lord Berkeley until his death 22 Jan 1532/33. Further children of Isabel and James were: iii. James de Berkeley who married Joan Strangeways and died 1490/91; iv. Thomas de Berkeley who married Margaret Guy and died 1484; v. [9161] Ladonna is daughter of Hulbertus Bloomfield Wharton (1874-1967) and Bertha McManis (1874-1966). "News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 22 August 2000," p. 6: "Shelby - LaDonna K. Cooper, 95, formerly of 72 Park Village, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2000, in Heritage Care Center. Born November 21, 1904, in Tiro to Hulbertus B. and Bertha (McManis) Wharton, she had been a Shelby resident since 1926. Mrs. Cooper was employed with Shelby Public Schools as a cook for 16 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of First United Church of Christ where she was active in Women's Guild and a volunteer at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky for many years. She enjoyed her church and needlework. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Corliss H. Jr. and Patsy Cooper and Daniel B. and Tina Cooper, all of Shelby, Richard W. & Marge Cooper of Kailua Kona, Hawaii; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna Jean and Francis Burk of Kerrville, TX; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, William 'Bill' Wharton of Shelby; one sister, Esther Stover of Shelby; nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Corliss H. Cooper Sr. in 1963; one daughter, Janice Rettig in 1986; three brothers, Clifford, Robert and Hulbert Wharton; and one sister, Martha Moorhead."
