[56918] 'The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 27 December 2021: "Holden - Lester Gray, 96, passed away December 25, 2021. He was born in Dedham, October 5, 1925, the son of Leslie W. and Nellie M. (McTague) Gray. Lester served in the Merchant Marines during WW II. He was employed as a heating engineer with Dow Air Force Base and the City of Bangor and he retired from the University of Maine as a steam fitter. Lester was a member of the East Orrington Congregational Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte (Marshall) Gray; three brothers, Roy, Milo and Hoddy; and by a sister, Blanche. Surviving are a son, Alton Gray of Holden, and his girlfriend, Mary; three daughters, Donna Jamieson, of Holden, Beverly McGillicuddy and her husband, Danny, of Gorham, and Carol Reynolds of Holden; grandchildren, Amy, Andy, Anthony, Barbara, Loralyn, Lorraine, Netsie, Robin, Beth, Rachel, Jarrod, Sue, Chris, Shaun, Cara, Jason and Lisa; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and two brothers, Leland and Warren Gray."
