Roach, 91, of Mission, Texas, formerly of Loudonville, died Thursday morning, June 11, 1998, in Mission, Texas, after an extended illness. Mr. Roach was born March 2, 1907 in Nashville, Ohio, the son of Corliss and Pearl (Gauchat) Roach. Mr. Roach was the Administrative Vice-President of the Flxible Co., Loudonville with 48 years of service, retiring in 1973 with the second most seniority at the time with the company. For over 25 years he served as the company representative in labor negotiations. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville, was President of church council, chairman of the Building Committee, a Sunday School teacher, and the Sunday School Band, while in Ohio. In Texas, he was a member of First Christian Church of Mc Allen. He was a member and past Master of Hanover Lodge 115 F&AM, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, past President of Ashland County Scottish Rite Association, past President of the Loudonville Lions Club, past President of Loudonville-Perrysville Boosters Club, member of Gideons International, the Loudonville Camera Club and was a dance band leader. His professional memberships include: past President of National Metal Trades Assn., Cleveland branch; Chairman of National Committee on Employer-Employee Communications; the Society for Advancement of Management, Cleveland Chapter; National Assn. of Motor Bus Owners (NAMBO) Safety Committee; and American Transit Assn. He is survived by his wife, Frances A. (Powney) Roach, his son, Roger P. Roach of Grove City, PA, daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Fr.; and Edward Roller of Alliance, Ohio, and Miriam K. and Roy Cheek of Thomaston, Connecticut, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-greatgrandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen E (Paullin) Roach on Dec. 29, 1982, his second wife, Erline (Bright) Roach in 1986, a son Kenneth Lorain Roach in 1934, and 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

John Smith married again to Mary Wilson and Jacob, Jane, Katie, John, Margaret, Mary Ann, James and William were born to this union. Our Jacob is the third of the three who came from England via Vermont. Jacob and Katie settled in Townsend Twp., Norfolk Co.
