[59466] "The Bangor Daily Nedws [Bangor, Maine]," 9 July 2018: "Ellen W. Morang, 70, died June 25, 2018 at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. She was born in Ellsworth, ME, February 12, 1948, the daughter of Kenneth and Ruth Ellen Willey. Ellen grew up in Cherryfield, ME and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1966. She married Robert Dean Morang on June 3, 1967 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Bar Harbor. She attended the University of Maine at Machias and graduated in 1970 with a BS degree in Education. Ellen taught at the Bryant E. Moore Middle School in Ellsworth for 30 years as a sixth and seventh grade teacher. She is survived by her son, Robert D. Morang and wife Brandi of Ellsworth, ME; daughter, Amy M. Pidhurney and husband James of Auburn, NH; grandchildren, Amber, Reese, Carson, Spencer and Charlotte; sister Patricia Farnsworth of Kingfisher, OK and her 5 children; Sister Pamela Willey of Holly Pond, AL and her 3 children; and brother-in-law Edd Morang of Bangor and his two sons. Ellen's passion and purpose in life was education, reading and her family. For those who were fortunate enough to have entered her classroom, we can rest assured she is watching over us, at the ready with her little red pen or perhaps her 'board of education.'"
