He married Sarah Hibbs on March 20, 1714, in Byberry, Pennsylvania. They had seven children in 15 years. He died on February 12, 1769, in Abington, Pennsylvania, at the impressive age of 92, and was buried in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania . . . When Sarah Hibbs was born about 1692, in Byberry, Pennsylvania, her father, William, was 27 and her mother, Hannah, was 25 . . . . She died on December 2, 1769, in Buck, Pennsylvania, having lived a long life of 77 years, and was buried in Wrightstown, Pennsylvania. " This line requires further documentation.

This captain may have been involved with the ship 'Adams,' built at Castine in 1840, and was involved with the schooner 'Essex,' built here [Brooksville] in 1844." A posting by Stephen Snowman, Sr. 5 March 2005 in http://boards.ancestrylibrary.com states this person is Benjamin Gray, Esq., b. 13 March 1788 in Sedgwick, Hancock Co., ME, d. 8 March 1857.
