He was born Feb, 20, 1912 at Jonesport, the son of Alvah and Alberta (Norton) Beal. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard from 1931 to 1934, during World War II, he served in the U. S. Navy. He worked all his life as a lobsterman. Earlon enjoyed working with wood and made toys for all his grandchildren, he also enjoyed reading and drawing, often drawing cartoons for his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of nearly 67 years, Marie (Faulkingham) Beal, five children, Earlene and her husband, Ralph Kelley of Collegeville, Pa , Dale Beal and his wife, Amber, Noreen and her husband, William Smith all of Kennebunk, Rickey Beal and his wife, Holly and Dickey Beal and his wife, Wendy of Jonesport, 12 grandchildren; Debbie O'Hara, Allan Kelley, Michelle Turner and Lisa Kelley, Richard Beal, Annette Lewia and Brenda White, Harold Beal, Ann Marie Beal and Whitney Beal, Oscar Beal and Derrick Beal, 15 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Hazel Joy and Irene Atwater; two brothers, Roger and Leo Beal."

[27056] "The Vermillion Times, 8 April 1920," p 1: "George Washington Tate was born in Warren county, Illinois, December 30, 1868, and died at Vermillion, Kansas, April 1, 1920, aged 61 years, 3 months and 1 day. When nine vears of age, he went with his parents to Iowa, where he grew to manhood. In 1881 he was united in marriage to Miss Luella Ray. To this union were born nine children, seven of whom, with their mother, survive him. They are Mrs. Daisy Pry of Raymond, Minn., Manley Tate of Sykeston, N. D., Mrs. Pearl Yoder of Vermillion, Mrs. Jessie Hale of Centralia, Kans., Viana, Barbara and Zelda at home. Mr. Tate and family came to Vermillion some thirty years ago and have resided here ever since with the exception of a couple of years spent in North Dakota. He was a good citizen who was well and favorably known. He with his wife united with the Christian church at Vermillion about twenty-four years ago."

[9307] Charles is son of Andrew Whitekettle and Anna Smith. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad for 35 years, first in the Supervisor's office and then as a lumber inspector. He was an elder of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Madison Twp., Perry Co., PA. "The Perry County Times, 25 November 1943," p. 12: "Newport, Nov. 22 - Charles Smith Whitekettle died Wednesday morning, November 17, 1943, at his home on North Fourth street, after an illness of several months. He was 66 years old and was the son of Andrew S. and Anna Smith Whitekettle and was born at Markelsville. For more than 35 years Mr. Whitekettle was affiliated with the Pennsylvania Railroad Company as a lumber inspector; his work taking him all over the United States. Surviving in addition to his wife, Margaret Loy Whitekettle, are: One daughter, Miss Pauline Whitekettle, at home, and one son, Loy A. Whitekettle, of Marietta; one brother, Frank H. Whitekettle, Wallace, Idaho, and two sisters, Miss Maude Whitekettle, of Newport, and Mrs. L. C. Smith, of Altoona. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and was an elder in that church at the time of death. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Whitekettle home, with the Rev. L. Stoy Spangler, pastor of St. Paul's, officiating. Burial was made in the Newport cemetery. Members of St. Paul's Church Council acted as pallbearers."
