[1878] Clodion reigned 428-448. The Salic Franks came from Dieburg in Hessen, the name Salic deriving from the river Saale (a tributary of the river Main). His territory was Tournai and corresponds generally to the later area of Hainaut. ("Ancestral Roots...- Supplement," F.L.Weis, 1952, p. 37). See also http://mapage.noos.fr/anosteo/Merovingiens01.html and http://www.stirnet.com/HTML/genie/ancient/fh/franks2.htm. http://www.robertsewell.ca/merovech.html offers: "Often described as 'King of the Franks', Chlodio may be more accurately referred to as a 'Chieftain of the Salian Franks'. Frankish warriors served as Roman soldiers; and this service was rewarded as the Salians were allowed to spread out from their 'reservation' known as Toxandria (Tiesterbant near Campine in the southern Netherlands) into what is to-day Begium, northern France as well as along the lower Rhine. Much of this expansion was peaceful, although in 428 and again in 450 the Roman general Ætius crushed Frankish uprisings led by Chodio. At other times, there was close co-operation as in the Frankish support given Ætius in his defeat of the Huns near Orléans in 451." Cf. http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clodion_le_Chevelu.

[57979] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 2 June 2023: "Harrington - Kathleen Patricia Call, 77, of Harrington, Maine, passed away peacefully at a Boston hospital May 27, 2023, with her loving family at her side. Kathleen was born February 27, 1946, in Addison, Maine to Lawrence and Hazel (Carter) Tucker. Kathleen met the love of her life, Fredrick Call, in 1963 and they married January 4, 1964. The two of them became soulmates, spending the next 59 years together. They had three daughters as well as an adoptive 'daughter' whom Kathleen took care of for some time. Kathleen had so much love to give and will always be remembered for her witty sense of humor, her beautiful smile, her contagious laugh, and her overall kind spirited soul. She was always happiest surrounded by her prized possession, her family. Her smile would light up the room. She absolutely loved to make people laugh. Along with Fred, she made a summer tradition out of playing dominoes with her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patsy and Kurt Petzold. She would always smile searching for great bargains at yard sales. Kathleen would make people laugh all the time, sometimes by accident. One such time was with her two daughters, Tammy and Norma. Every year Tammy and Norma would take Kathleen Christmas shopping. One year Kathleen had cataracts and her vision was not at its best. The three of them went to KMart where Kathleen wanted to find perfume. She selected what she thought was a perfume to test, but unknowingly grabbed liquid foundation by mistake. She spritzed what she thought was a fine fragrance into the air and all around. Tammy and Norma got a grand laugh seeing their mother spraying make-up all over the place, including Kathleen's blouse. Kathleen leaves behind her husband, Fredrick Call; her brother, Glenwood Tucker; her daughters, Tammy Burgess and Norma Robinson; sons-in-law, Jason Burgess, Dannie Robinson, and Luis Matos; her adopted daughter, Falon Robinson; her five grandchildren, Cody Robinson, Keith Robinson, Danielle Reynolds, Hailey Hinckley, and Jason Burgess, as well as her six great-grandchildren, Aryana, Wessin, Lucas, Kayden, Audrina and Aunali; as well as many nieces and nephews. Kathleen was preceded by her daughter, Marieta Rae Call; her great-grandson, Erik; as well as her sisters, Ramona Emerson and Marilyn Chandler."
