Yonkie, 85, of Windsor Medical Center in North Canton, formerly of 3390 Sweitzer N.W., Uniontown, died Sept. 29, 1992 at Timken Mercy Medical Center after an extended illness. Born in Greentown, she was a life resident of the Akron area. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milo J. and Gertrude E. (Kreighbaum) Briner, her husband, Glenn W. Yonkie, in 1991, former husband, John N. Aitken, and stepdaughter, lain N. Neidert. She is survived by brother, Glenn W. Briner of Greentown; nephew, Kenneth Briner; niece, Judy Drerey; stepdaughter, Glenda J. Barry; stepson-in-law, Richard H. Neidert Sr. and stepgrandchildren, Richard Neidert, Diane Verbosky and Matthew Neidert. Private interment at Rose Hill Burial Park in Akron."

She was the widow of Oscar Latterner, who died 52 years ago. Mrs. Latterner was born in Bloominggrove township July 26, 1858. She was the last of a family of seven children. She was a member of Mt. Hope Lutheran church. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. D. E. Bushey of Shiloh, Mrs. Alto Brumbach of Plymouth and Miss May Latterner of Cleveland; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p. m. at the McQuate funeral home with Rev. Nevin Stover, pastor of the Mt. Hope Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh cemetery."
