[57511] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 7 September 2022: "Saint Albans - Robert 'Bob' Walker, 74, died unexpectedly September 3, 2022, in St. Albans, surrounded by family. He was born January 22, 1948, in Dexter, a son of Clyde A. Jr. and Beulah (Bowden) Walker. He married Lois Whitney 54 years ago on June 29, 1968, in Union. Bob worked at Dexter Shoe for many years, leaving for a short time to work for Foley Boot and then returned to Dexter Shoe until it closed. For the last 12 years, he worked at Moosehead Trail Trading Post until ill health forced him to retire. Bob was a huge family man who shared his love of the outdoors with his family. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son, granddaughters, and friends. He was an avid reader. When he wasn't outside, you would often find him with a book in his hand. He was a loyal New York Giants fan or any team that beat the Patriots. He enjoyed a good game of cribbage with his buddies every week, and big family dinners every Sunday night. He is survived by his wife, Lois; children; Lisa Walker and significant other, Steve Hughes, of Corinna, Robert Jr. and wife, Kathy Walker, of Canton; three granddaughters, Nicole 'Roscoe' Burton and husband, Gary, Amanda 'Henry' Clukey and husband, Tyler, and Ashley 'Sam' Walker and fiance, Brody Guild; 5 great-grandchildren, Kali 'Oscar' Bearce, Whitney 'Wally' and Gary 'Gabby' Burton, Dominick 'Eli' and Henry 'Phil' Clukey; three sisters, Sheila Walker and Susan Wilbur of Corinna, Cindy Walker of Dexter; and brother, Edward and wife, Charlann Walker, of Dexter."
