West, 73, former superintendent of the Fayetteville Water Company and a member of a plumbing and heating business in Fayetteville for 30 years, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 12:05 o'clock this morning at the Chambersburg Hospital. Mr. West was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Stoner West, on January 13. He was born Dec. 7, 1884, in Fayetteville, a son of the late Adam and Mary Freshman West. Mr. West was a former tax collector in Greene Township. During World War II he was employed as a guard at the Letterkenny Ordnance Depot. A member of the Fayetteville Evangelical United Brethren Church, he also held membership in these fraternal organizations: George Washington Lodge No. 143, F & AM; BPOE No. 600; Columbus Lodge No. 75, IOOF, and the Caledonia Lions Club. He is survived by five sons and four daughters: Donald C.
