She married John M. Jones in 1919 in Pasadena, TX. They rised a family of four children together; Curtis Hershel, Evelyn Ollin, Edna Mae, and Johnnie Ruth. They moved to Ballinger, TX in 1932. Jewel was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Seventh Street Baptist Church. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Seventh Street Baptist Church with burial in Garden of Memories. Arrangements are by Rains-Seale Funeral Home. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny in 1968; her parents, two sisters, five brothers and one great granddaughter. She is survived by one son, Curtis Jones of Ballinger; three daughters, Evelyn Drake and Johnnie Bramley, both of Ballinger and Edna Hunter of Mohave Valley, AZ; and a sister, Lenora Frush; three sisters-in-laws, Louise Jones of Ft. Worth, Syble Hitt of Abilene and Eva Hitt of Portland, OR; 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 26 great great grandchildren. "

Mr. Wardwell was one of Penobscot's well known citizens having spent his whole life here. He was a member of Rising Star Lodge, F. & A. M., and Penobscot Chapter, O. E. S., and will he greatly missed in both these societies. He leaves to mourn his loss a sister, Mrs. S. J. Treworgy of Surry, and one brother, Winfield, of this place . . ." Seymour and Addie had Nella F. (b. June 1888) and George C. (b. Nov. 1893) and one other who died young. George C. Wardwell became a well known state policeman and married Celia Leach, daughter of Harvey Leach, on 12 Sept 1925 - their daughter Elaine Nella Wardwell m. Stover S.
