Hershiser, of Gadsden, Ala., in a ceremony performed June 21, at 8:30 p. m. The vows were spoken at Willowbrook Farms, with Dr. T. P. Johnston, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Kingsport, officiating. The bride wore a white palm beach suit, with brown and white accessories, and a white orchid corsage. She is a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School and is now a junior at the University of Alabama, where she is majoring in radio arts and speech. She is a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. The groom was in the Army Air Corps two and one-half years, with seven months of overseas service in the E. T. O. He graduated from Gadsden High School, Gadsden, Ala., and attended Alabama Polytechnic Institute. He is a junior in pre-law at the University of Alabama and is a member of Chi Phi fraternity. The couple will be at home this summer at 221 South 9th Street, Gadsden, and will return to the University of Alabama for the fall quarter."

He was born May 14, 1956, the eldest of six children to Francis and Thelma Treadwell. He was fiercely supportive of his family, a characteristic that held strong throughout his life. He was instinctively generous, often taking time to help fix a car, shovel a roof, or share a meal. Always ready with a story or joke, his humor will be fondly remembered, as well as his laugh and the warm smile behind the beard. Roger was a hardworking and dedicated man and could do most anything he put his mind to. While many knew him as a mechanic, working alongside his brother and father at Tread's Garage, he was also famous for spending nearly 50 years playing drums in bands around the state, often with his wife and soulmate strumming beside him on bass guitar. His musical family was truly extended family, and he loved them dearly. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Pam; son, Lee; daughter, Amanda; grandson, Arie; brothers, Kenny, Kevin, and Mike; sister, Sheila; several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, in-laws and outlaws; and his very special dog, Maggie. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Randy."

Citing Peter Townend, editor, "Burke's Genealogical and Heraldic History of the Peerage, Baronetage, and Knightage, One Hundred and Third Edition" (London: Burke's Peerage Limited, MCMLXII (1963)), pg. 688, http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~cousin/html/p324.htm states "Jordan la Warre, Lord of Bristolton was the son of John la Warre, Lord of Bristolton. He married Emma (?). He paid two hundred pounds for livery of his lands in 1212/13 in 14 John. He took up arms against King John, with the other barons, but on paying a fine, with two palfreys, was re-admitted into favour. He again took up arms, fighting under the Baronial standard, and again making his peace after the Battle of Evesham (sic). He died in 1231." John la Warre, Lord of Bristolton was the first of the family treated by Burke's. He had a ratification of a grant which King John had made, prior to his coming to the throne, of the Lordship of Bristolton (a Mem. of the Honor of Gloucester), to hold by the service of half a knight's fee in 1206/7 in 8 John. He died in 1212/13 in 14 John, six years following the ratification of his lordship.
