[20756] He emigrated from Wayne Co., OH to Kosciusko Co., IN in 1844. He was postmaster in Tippecanoe Twp., IN in 1848. He was a gold miner in CA 1850-53. Nick Kile <74nkile@cox.net> wrote via email 21 July 2010: "I believe my GGGGrandfather Elias Samuel Kile- his father (believe his name to be Samuel C. Kyle) was a brother to Lewis Kyle(1787-1858) the father of Allen Jefferson Kyle. I do know that Elias Samuel Kile(1822-1887) and his wife Sara Elizabeth Gard were residing in Kosciusko Co., IN at the time of the 1850 Census (1849) residing next door to Thomas G. Boydston and family and that Elias worked in his MIll. I also suspect that Elias , as a single man traveled from Wayne co., OH with Thomas G. Boydston when he departed Wayne Co., OH. Elias when he left Wayne co., OH left a Catherina Schriner(daughter of william and susannah) with his unborn child. The William Schriner family resided in Chester Twp., next door to Thomas G, Boydston. I also know Elias and his wife Sarah Gard traveled with Thomas G. to Missouri- with the intension of following him to CA for the Gold Rush in 1850 but had to stop in Grundy Co., Missouri as her 1st born was due to be born, my GGrandfather."
