He moved from the farm to Kansas City, Missouri as a young man, where he was an independent Truck Driver in 1930. Lloyd m. (1) 25 Aug 1918 Lola Woods and m. (2) 29 July 1939 Corrine Hoback (b. 25 Sept 1913, d. 10 July 1970). Lloyd had Billy Frank Swarner (b. 1919, d. 26 Oct 1964). "The Tipton Times [Tipton, Missouri]," 11 April 1974: "Lloyd Paul Swarner, 48, died Saturday, April 16, 1949 at his home in Alturus, Calif. Mr. Swarner was born in Tipton Mar. 25, 1901, a son of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Swarner. Aug. 25, 1919 he was married to Lola Woods. His marriage to Corinne Hoback was July 29, 1939. He leaves his wife; one son, Billy Frank Swarner, Taft Cali.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Swarner, Tipton; a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Geraldine) Bowline, Pine Bluff, Ark.; and a brother, Marvin Swarner, Kansas City. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, at the Baptist Church, the Rev. George D. Gray, of Lexington to officiate. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery."
