Elle se marie en premières noces à Etienne Comte de Gévaudan et de Forez, un Seigneur très puissant du sud est de l'Aquitaine. A la mort d'Etienne en 961 elle assure la tutelle de ses trois fils: Guillaume, Pons et Bertrand et dirige en leur nom les deux Comtés de Gévaudan et de Forez. Sa fille Adalmode épouse Aldebert Comte de Périgord et de la Marche. En 981 s'élabore le projet de mariage entre Adélaide et le fils du Roi Lothaire, Louis (il n'a que quinze ans). Louis devient Roi d'Aquitaine et le mariage est celèbré au début de 982 à Vieux Brioude, Adélaide est couronnée Reine d'Aquitaine. Il permet de donner un peu plus de consistance à ce titre dans la mesure où le clan Angevin possède le Gévaudan, le Forez, Le Puy et le Comté de Chalons. Le Duc d'Aquitaine Guillaume Fier à Bras est incapable de s'opposer à cette opération, il est paralysé par les conséquences de sa relation avec la Vicomtesse de Thouars, en effet la femme de Guillaume, Emma de Blois s'est isolée à Chinon et le Comte de Poitou ne peut pas compter sur l'aide de Eudes I de Blois. En pratique le mariage d'Adelaide est totalement artificiel et le Roi Lothaire réalise rapidement qu'il a travaillé en fait pour la Maison d'Anjou. En 983, appuyé par une armée, il vient reprendre son fils Louis et le ramener en France du Nord. Le mariage est rompu et Adélaide se refugie à Arles. Peu après Adélaide se remarie avec le Comte Guillaume d'Arles Comte de Provence, un ami de l'abbé Mayeul de Cluny. Ils ont eu comme enfant Constance la future épouse du Roi de France Robert II le Pieux.

In 2019 https://www.geni.com/people/Thomas-Goldthwaite offers: "Ezekiel Goldthwaite (fourth generation) son of John, born at Boston, July 9, 1710. Married Nov. 2, 1732, Elizabeth Lewis of Boston. For the greater part of his life he was Registrar of Deeds for the County of Suffolk. His first signature as registrar was Nov. 6, 1740. He was an Addressser of Hutchinson in 1774, and a protester against the Revolutionist the same year, although like many other loyalists he was one of the 58 Boston memorilists in 1760 who arrayed themselves against the Crown officials, and having sowed the seeds of sedition, afterwards became alarmed at its results, mob rule.
His last signature as registrar is said to have been written Jan. 17, 1776, two months before the evacuation of Boston. He died seven years later, Dec. 4th, 1782, in his 73rd year. His widow died Feb. 6. 1794. aged 80."
