She married Johann Nicol Bauersachs in Neider Lustadt, Pfalz, Germany in 1727. They had two daughters and two sons together, but both daughters died in childhood. Johann Nicol and Mary Elizabeth came to America with their two sons, George Adam and Johann Valentine, on 15 August 1750 on the ship Royal Union from Rotterdam, last from Portsmouth, commanded by Clement Nicholson. They settled in Hanover, York County, Pennsylvania the same year. Mary Elizabeth died before 1800. She was buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Silver Run, Carroll County, Maryland. [1870] Radegonda, fifth wife of Clothaire I, was a daughter of the King of the Thuringian Franks. She became a nun at Poitiers in 554. http://perso.wanadoo.fr/ot-peronne/html/sr.html offers: "En 529, sous le règne de Clotaire 1er, les Francs en guerre contre les Barbares tuent Bertaire, roi de Thuringe. Radegonde fille de Bertaire et son frère sont enlevés et accordé à Clotaire 1er. C'est en 530, que Radegonde vint à Péronne pour la première fois. Elle était alors âgée de onze ans, et de part son rang de princesse, est élevée à la Villa Royale d'Athies, situé à trois lieues de Péronne. C'est là que Radegonde reçoit son éducation religieuse, se convertie et décide avoir une vie vouée à Dieu et à la seule gloire de l'Eglise. Clotaire bientôt, fut séduit par ses charmes et la fit conduire à Soissons, en 538, pour l'épouser malgré elle ; c'est Saint Médard, qui les unis. Elevée au rang de reine, elle refusa les pompes royales afin de se réserver au service de Dieu. Comme cadeau de noce Clotaire lui offre sa villa d'Athies et toutes les terres s'y rattachant, nous savons qu'elle y vécut très souvent. De là elle vint plusieurs fois en visite à Péronne. C'est dans cette ville que Clotaire affectionnait venir chasser le cygne des étangs de la Somme. Le mont se trouvant à Péronne à l'emplacement du tribunal actuel était alors appelé le Mont des Cygnes. Lors d'une des venues de Radegonde à Péronne, apercevant autour d'un temple des villageois se livrer à une cérémonie païenne, irritée par ce spectacle, elle le fait brûler et se retire pour prier à genoux pour la conversion de ces villageois. L'endroit qui reçu ses genoux devient un grès où l'on voit la marque de sa génuflexion. Grès exposée à l'Hôtel de Ville de Péronne. Vers 555, envoyée par son époux auprès de Saint Médard, à Noyon, elle profite de cette occasion et le supplie de la consacrer diaconesse. Celui-ci refusant Radegonde le menace d'être maudit pour l'éternité, ébranlé par cette menace, l'évêque consacra Radegonde. De là, elle se rendit à sa Villa de Saix dans le territoire des Poitevins. Où elle décida, vers 560, de se retirer en fondant à Poitiers le premier couvent de femmes, placé sous le vocable de la Sainte Croix. En effet, elle possédait un morceau de la croix du Christ qui fut placé au centre d'un bijou. Les religieuses, du monastère fondé par Sainte Radegonde, à Poitiers, sont toujours en possession de ce bijou et de cette relique. Rapidement Radegonde fut appelée Sainte par la Vox Populi et reconnue comme investie du don de guérison. Après avoir donné à ses religieuses la règle composée par Saint Césaire d'Arles, Radegonde fonda au-delà des murailles de Poitiers une basilique, qu'elle avait choisit pour lieu de sa sépulture, Sainte-Marie-Hors-les-Murs, devenue aujourd'hui l'église Sainte Radegonde. Jusqu'à la fin de sa vie, survenue le 13 août 587, elle prodiga ses biens faits auprès des malades, des indigeants et des pauvres. Dans la région de Péronne, le souvenir de Sainte Radegonde est très présent. Et les traces marquées par Radegonde sont historiquement irréfutables. Il est important de souligner que sans Radegonde nous n'aurions pas d'éléments relatant l'histoire de notre région, puisque se sont les plus vieux témoignages de la vie à Péronne.
