[33804] A Find A Grave memorial includes Otis' obituary: Otis H. Aldrich, a former resident of Duncannon, died at his home at Avalon, N.J., Wednesday at midnight, aged 80 years and 1 month. Mr. Aldrich and wife had been spending the summer at Avalon and had all their goods packed up ready to leave on Thursday to spend the winter in the city. During Wednesday, Mr. Aldrich had been out fishing in the inlet and had remarked upon his unusually good health. During the night his wife was awakened by her husband in distress. He complained of a pain in the region of his heart. Mrs. Aldrich applied remedies and summoned neighbors, but of no avail, as Mr. Aldrich passed away shortly. No physician could have been secured in time, and the nearest one lived miles away. Deceased was a native of Massachusetts. For many years he had charge of the stave mill of the Duncannon Iron Company at Monetbello, and later Duncannon. He resigned the position on account of bad health. Mr. Aldrich was twice married. His first wife was a Miss Black, of Raccoon Valley.--Of this union two children survive; Burt Aldrich, of Taunton, Mass., and Mrs. Jennie Kreamer, of Nebraska. His second wife was Miss Kate Rice, sister of William and Oliver Rice, of this place. His widow and three children survive him; Mrs. Abbie Black, of Washington D.C.; Mrs Sue Sheibley, of Harrisburg, and Jay C. Aldrich, of Easton, Pa. Find A Grave reports his grave is in Duncannon, PA but the PA Dept. of Military Affairs burial record states it is in New Bloomfield, PA.

[1905] Saul M. Montes-Bradley states at http://www.bradleyfoundation.org that she is Genvissa (Venus Julia) and "married Arviragus , King of Siluria son of Cynvelin (Cimbelline) , King of the Britons in AD 45." He further states in a note: "At the end of that winter (c. 45 AD) the messengers returned with Claudius' daughter and handed her over to her father. The girls name was Genvissa. Her beauty was such that everyone who saw her filled with admiration. Once she had been united to him (Arvirargus) in lawful marriage, she inflamed the King with with such burning passion that he preferred her company to anything else in the world. As a result of this Arvirargus made up his mind to give some special mark of distinction to the place were he married her. He suggested to Claudius that the two of them should found there a city which should perpetuate in times to come the memory of so happy a marriage. Claudius agreed and ordered a town to be built wich should be called Kaerglou or Gloucester. Down to our own day (abt 1100) it retains its site on the bank of the Severn, between Wales and Loegria. Some, however, say that it took its name from Duke Gloius, whom Claudius fathered in that city and to whom he granted control of the duchy of the Welsh after Arvirargus. (Geoffrey of Monmouth)"
