My g-g-g-g-grandmother, Catharine Kleiss Auxer married a Philip Auxer upon the death of her first husband, Michael Auxer, Jr.
What I have:
Michael Auxer, Jr. died in 1817 and in his will appointed Catharine, his widow, and Philip Albert, a "trusted" friend as executor of his estate. Catharine later petitioned the court to have Philip appointed guardian for her minor children. Later on, Michael's brother goes to court and says Catharine has since married Philip Albert and he wants an accounting of funds for the minor children. This is all in Mt. Joy.
Court records show Philip was declared incompetent in 1846. [His sister, Leah, was also declared incompetent.]
I then lose both Catharine and Philip. I follow several of the children, including my ancestor, Philip Kleis Auxer.
Recently, while going thru microfilms at Lancaster Historical Society, I came across a newspaper article, and was wondering if it were your Philip Albert, and if it could possibly be the Philip Albert I'm looking for. Your death date for Philip is exactly one month earlier than the newspaper article. I cannot find copies of the quarter session in 1865 to find out what happened or who was involved.

LOCAL INTELLIGENCE. Death of a Prisoner - A man named Philip Albert, about 65 or 70 years of ge, died in the County Prison on Tuesday night. The deceased was tried in 1865 for assault and battery and was acquitted on the plea of insanity, but was subsequently placed in the prison by direction of the Court for safe-keeping, where he has been kept in custody ever since. The deceased has relatives residing in the vicinity of Elizabethtown.

He was born on May 4, 1945, to Linwood and Hope (Blodgett) Gray. Gleason spent nearly his entire life in Sedgwick, where he became a familiar and well-loved presence in the community. Together with his wife, Claire, he co-owned and operated C&G Growers and C&G Grocery - businesses that were closely tied to the town and its people. C&G Growers was especially known for the strawberries raised on the property, something many came to look forward to year after year. Over time, both businesses also provided jobs for many in the area. For some, it was their first real job; for others, it was the kind of work that fit just right while raising a family. Throughout the years, Gleason wore many hats - never one to sit still for long - but he was perhaps best known professionally for his work as a cooperative extension agent in Penobscot County. During that time, he founded the Penobscot County Master Gardeners program, leaving a lasting mark on the region and the people who learned from him. He was the kind of person who could fix just about anything, whether it involved plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry. If something was broken, Gleason would figure it out - and probably crack a joke while he was at it. His sense of humor and practical know-how made him someone people relied on and enjoyed being around. Gleason will be remembered for his sharp wit, his steady hands, and the way he quietly made life better for the people around him. Gleason will be deeply missed by his stepdaughter, JoDee Lymburner, who is especially grateful for the kindness and support of his friend, Linda; and the Astbury family, who helped care for Gleason throughout the past several years. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Claire; and sister, Fay Wiesing."

[40329] The unverified Kercher Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2016 offers: "When Jacob Light was born on August 21, 1786, in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, his father, Henry, was 34 and his mother, Maria, was 25. He married Christiana Steinmetz on May 4, 1810. They had six children in 15 years. He died on September 5, 1847, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, at the age of 61, and was buried in Fredericksburg, Pennsylvania. When Christiana Steinmetz Light was born on December 12, 1786, in Dauphin, Pennsylvania, her father, Henry, was 26 and her mother, Magdalena, was 22 . . . . She died on September 22, 1863, in her hometown, having lived a long life of 76 years, and was buried in Fredericksburg, Pennsylvania."
