[58204] Ivan's obituary: "Ivan Roy Hatch, 78 Pastor Ivan Hatch of Scarborough, went to his heavenly home November 2, 2013 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. His passing was peaceful, having been surrounded by his family and loving caregivers for several days. Ivan, son of Kenneth and Mildred Hatch, was born on January 17, 1935 in West Boylston MA. Ivan graduated from Mexico High School in Mexico, ME in 1952, on the National Honor Society. He earned his BA from Barrington College of Barrington RI, and his Masters from Gordon Divinity School of Wenham MA. He married his Barrington College sweetheart Ginny in 1957. They shared 56 years of marriage and raised three sons. Ivan started his calling to the ministry in St John, New Brunswick as minister of Christian Education. In future years he served as a devoted pastor of churches in MA, ME and NH. His love for music, skiing, and basketball endeared him to many youth in the churches in which he served. He enjoyed painting to keep the church buildings in good repair. He was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church, serving as an Elder and painting where needed. Ivan was predeceased by his mother and father of Exeter N.H. and brother Carl of PA. He is survived by his loving family: wife Ginny, son Timothy and wife Jean of PA, son Daniel and wife Linda of Saco, ME and son Mark and wife Jennifer of Scarborough, ME, eight grandchildren, twin brother Evan of VA, sister Shirley and brother in law George of MA and nieces and nephews."

[3232] Reigned as King David II of Scotland; crowned at Scone in 1331; had no issue by either of this two wives (Princess Joan and [2] Margaret de Logie). His sister, Matilda, died 1353, m. Squire Thomas Ysak. He was the last male of the House of Bruce and died childless, being succeeded by his nephew Robert II. David II came to the throne in 1329 at the age of five, after the death of his father Robert I. In 1332, Edward Balliol, a pretender to the throne, was crowned by King Edward III of England, with David II fleeing to France. He returned to Scotland in 1341 but five years later, after invading England under the terms of the Auld Alliance which promised mutual aid between Scotland and France, he was taken prisoner. He spent eleven years as a prisoner of the English at various castles, including Windsor. See http://members.aol.com/Windhover/stuart.html.
