[7385] "The Perry County Democrat, 16 January 1935," p. 3: "Mrs. Mary (Briner) Minich, wife of William Minich, of Bainbridge, Lancaster county, passed away on Thursday morning, January 10, at the Lancaster Hospital. She had undergone an operation for gallstones a few days before and was getting along as well as could be expected when the end came suddenly. Mrs. Minich was a daughter of John H. and Dianna (Hollenbaugh) Briner and was born in Jackson township. She was aged 50 years, 2 months and 24 days. When about 16 years of age, she united with the Lutheran church, in Blain. April 26, 1910, she married William Minich, who survives her with four sons, Scott, Dean, Guy and Carl, all at home. She is also survived by a twin sister, Mrs. Anna Miller, of Newville, and one brother, Harry Briner, living on the old homestead at Mt. Pleasant. Four children, two sons and two daughters, preceded her to the spirit world."

[58454] Lillian's obituary: "Machias - Lillian Strout passed away peacefully in her sleep on the October, 19, 2024, with her family at her side. Lillian was born September 27, 1932 in Cherryfield, Maine, the daughter of LeRoy and Lois (Dorr) Corliss. After graduating from Cherryfield schools, she married Alton Strout of Milbridge, July 2, 1950. They were married for 71 years before he preceded her in death in 2022. Together, they both enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent many weekends at camp. They loved to play cards, and many nights were spent with family and friends playing different games. Lillian enjoyed playing scrabble and was hard to beat. She also spent many hours doing crossword puzzles. When the children were grown, she got an electricians helpers license and went to work with Alton doing electrical wiring. Lillian is survived by her son, Garry; daughters, Diane Robinson and Peggy Strout; six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Roland, Earl, and Ernest; sisters, Evelyn Tibbetts and Hazel Anderson; daughter, Karen Strout; daughter-in-law, Janet Strout; and son-in-law, Wade Robinson."
