[50603] The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 12 April 2022": "Philip S. Jordan, 88, passed away under the hospice care of Marlene Walker at Total Care Solutions in Holden on April 6, 2022. He was born in Waltham, Sept. 22, 1933, the sixth child of Waltham Elliott and Marguerite (Bunker) Jordan. Philip served his country in the Army from March 1953-February 1955 as a private first class. On Sept. 8, 1956, Philip married Joan Annette Jordan. With his wife, Joan, they began their family woods business, Philip S. Jordan and Sons. At the time, Philip moved his wood business forward by being the first to add a skidder, loader and tractor-trailer to increase his companys productivity. In later years Philip and Joan moved to Frankfort, where they tended blueberry fields, grew large vegetable gardens and watched their children raise loving grandchildren. Philip will be missed greatly by his family and all those whose life he has touched. Philip is survived by his sons, Daniel of Waltham, David and wife, Susan, of Lamoine, Vaughn and wife, Terri, of Waltham, Andrew and wife, Shirley, of Bangor; daughter-in-law, Debora Dawson of Waltham; grandchildren, Nathan of Ellsworth, Jodi Bennett and husband, Timothy, of Waldoboro, Nicholas of Bradley, Tyler and wife, Zanna, of Cary, N.C., Anna and husband, Aaron, of Trenton, Joshua and wife, Stevi, of Ellsworth, Jacob of Ellsworth, Noah and wife, Caitlin, of Ellsworth, step-grandson Anthony Jones and wife, Kelly, of Ellsworth, Meghan Murray and husband, Ted, of Bangor, Leah of Dover, N.H., Kimberly Lorenc and husband, Alex, of Westbrook; great-grandchildren Whitney, Asa, Kira, Timothy, Ezrah, Cameron, Noelle, Rein, Qoheleth, Evangeline, Megan, Caleb, Elliott, Bryer, Parker, Jett, Eloise and Carter; brothers Marshall and his wife, Patsy, of Waltham and Dale of Holden and sister Gloria and husband, Ronald Gregory. [1192] His son Richard had ten known children including "Mawde" "wyffe first to Christopher Irton, son and heyre to John Irton of Irton" {-"Visitations of the North, Part 2"(1921), Surtees Soc. Vol. 133, p, 130 (Pedigree of "Redmayne of Harewood")}. Another son, Henry, had a daughter Jane who married Marmaduke Gascoigne, son of Sir Wm. of Gawthorpe, Kgt. "Redmans of Levens and Harewood," W. Greenwood, points out that Edward, heir of Sir William, is in fact William's BROTHER.
