He had been ailing since suffering a fall late last year and the past six months had been bedfast. Mr. Myers was born Jan. 6, 1865 at Akron, Ohio, the son of Reuben D. and Sarah J. Myers. He was three years old when his parents located in this community where he was reared to manhood and in early life began farming which he followed during his active life. Surviving are the wife, Nellie; a daughter, Mrs. Irma Hoffman, near Wolcottville; seven grandchildren and four great grand children."

[56391] Find A Grave memorial 260101232 offers: "In 1774 a military company was organized in Chebacco of which he was chosen ensign. In 1776 he was made captain of this company of 55 men, rank and ile and was in the regiment under the command of Col. Jonathan Cogswell, of Chebacco, Ipswich, and did active service in the war for independence. Farmer, inherited by will 1/2 of his father's farm, upon which he lived until 1794, when he sold to Ebenezer and Nathaniel Burnham, and removed to Lunenberg, Worchester Co., MA, where he died. After his death his wife Martha returned to Salem where she died at the home of their son David at the age of 92."
